With the Modernisation of Hearing Aids Programme (looking at assessment of hearing loss and using digital hearing aids) and Newborn Hearing Screening many things are changing within children’s audiology services and education, particularly at 0-2 years. Useful sources of information can be found at

This is a joint NDCS and RNID initiative, mainly aimed at professionals but with useful information for parents too. It has wide ranging information and updates on new government initiatives e.g. the Early Support Pilot Project aimed at 0-2 years.

This gives information on what is happening with the newborn hearing screening programme and associated research.
